Bellevue-based Point Inside teamed up with Target to provide its mobile shopping and mapping platform for the retailer’s own mobile application, which is now live and expected to enhance shopping and search capabilities at stores nationwide, just in time for the holidays.
Point Inside used its mobile shopping engagement SaaS platform, StoreMode, for Target’s iPhone app. StoreMode digitizes the indoor retail experience, providing navigation and mapping abilities to allow consumers to quickly find products and deals with top 100 retailers.
New features for Target’s smartphone app, using StoreMode technology, include interactive maps, navigable shopping lists and an interactive Black Friday map for store layouts and doorbuster locations. Point Inside projects its StoreMode platform will have nearly three billion shopper interactions on more than 100 million devices through its retail partners by the end of 2014.
