1st Security Bank has hired Ron Poborsky as a Loan Officer and Manager of its Bellevue Home Lending Office. Executive Vice President Donn Costa made the annoucement.

Poborsky is a veteran in the mortgage industry, starting his career in 1991. Prior to working in home lending, he joined the U.S. Navy out of high school and became a Navy diver/explosive Ordnance Disposal Assistant.

He has been recognized as a Top Producer for every company he has worked with in 25-plus years.

“I love making a difference in peoples’ lives, and get to do this every time we close a loan,” Poborsky said.

His typical customer ranges from a first-time home buyer purchasing their first place to a seasoned pro buying a multi-million dollar home.

“Ron brings a lot of great qualities to our company,” Costa commented. “We highly value his knowledge of the home lending business, his leadership skills, his focus of continued improvement and our shared vision of growth in the eastside market.”

Poborsky and his family reside in Kirkland.
