Kurt Springman has been named president of Sherron Associated in Bellevue. Springman, a former Bellevue City Council member, is responsible for the management and operations of the company and its divisions, structuring investments and raising equity.
A Bellevue native and the eldest son of Sherron Associates’ founder, Ed Springman, Kurt Springman worked for the 40-year old company in various capacities on and off for the past 30 years. From landscaping and maintenance, to developing offering memorandums, property management and soliciting investors, Springman lived and learned the business from the ground up.
He also worked for in Big-8 accounting as a CPA and real estate accounting specialist, and for JP Morgan on Wall Street as a real estate investment banker. His favorite local deal was arranging the construction financing of the first Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center facility in South Lake Union, Seattle.
Springman worked for the past 18 years in strategic alliances and technology marketing with companies such as Microsoft, SAP, HP, Citrix, Symantec and Intel. He holds an MBA in finance from New York University, a B.S. in accounting from the University of Denver.
Springman was a Bellevue city councilman from 1996 through 1999, and is a former member of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, Bellevue Downtown Association, and has served on the boards of various civic, charitable and corporate organizations.
