In this very busy time of year it is a true joy to encounter employees who enjoy their jobs and are helpful and knowledgeable. I encountered two such people Dec. 20 at the Newport King County Library in my search to check out books to entertain my grandchildren in their upcoming visit.

Their assistance was above and beyond what I would have expected. Not only did I receive a printed list of appropriate age level books but also personal assistance in located them. Many thanks to the King County library staff.
