Red-light camera’s go live? I am disgusted this has come this far.

I drive all over Bellevue and as much as possible I will just avoid those lights and those places where camera’s are in force. I am a very safe driver and I keep the speed limit, but I know and so does everyone else this has nothing to do with safety.

If it were, offender’s would be punished just like a regular ticket with a report to their insurance and to the state. Not reporting it just keeps more people from fighting it. I think everyone who receives one in the mail should fight it, and as much as possible avoid those areas so it ends up costing more than the city brings in.

If there is a single citizen who is interested in having these in place – I would be shocked. It feels like harassment to me and just another back-door tax. This is all about getting more money from taxpayer’s without the grief of having to raise taxes legitimately. Do they think we are stupid?
