A big thank you to Paul Sutton whose column (‘Big government is everywhere, thank goodness’ 8/7/10, ) was a beacon of sanity amid the ranting craziness of so many people who just don’t get what our country and our lives would be like without us paying reasonable taxes.
How do they think drastic cuts in our taxes would work? Who would pay for our schools, roads, bridges, buses, ferries, libraries, parks, police, firemen, post offices etc etc? Not to mention Medicare and Medicaid.
How long will it take for them to accept the reality that trickle down economics does not work?
