Enough is enough on light rail

I have lived in Bellevue for over 10 years and during this period I have never seen such a lack of mayoral leadership and questionable decision making by our City Council. Enough is enough.

I have lived in Bellevue for over 10 years and during this period I have never seen such a lack of mayoral leadership and questionable decision making by our City Council. Enough is enough.

Even though the majority of residents strongly support light rail, there is a very vocal segment who wish it would simply go away – or at least go further away from their neighborhood.

It is during this very type of emotional and difficult issue that the citizens of Bellevue most depend on our mayor and City Council to provide the necessary direction and leadership in finding solutions and helping to unit the community, rather then acting as the lightening rod for magnifying and exploiting community differences.

No matter how difficult these issues become, there is absolutely no excuse for the mayor and council majority to behave in the unacceptable and inappropriate manner we were all recently witness to. We expect and deserve more from our elected officials.

Attention Bellevue councilmembers Wallace, Robertson, Lee and Mayor Davidson. Please put away your personal political agendas and do what’s best for all the citizens of Bellevue, who you swore to represent.
