Regarding “No new bridge? No tolls,” John Carlson apparently is too young to remember there was a toll on the I-90 bridge. .25cents per car, .5cents per passenger. There has been too much talk and little action about tolls. It is unfortunate the tolls were ever removed. Had they stayed in place the state would have funding to do almost anything needed. I would prefer to see a toll on each bridge and a portion of I-90. Let those who use the bridges and highways pay, not tax those who do not. If the toll is only on 520, those who live between the two bridges will take the one without and hence increase traffic (on I-90). Come on people…get your act in order and proceed in a way that will benefit the state and our highway system.
