Third-person response

This letter is to the July 19, 2019, article by Evan Pappas, “City council Position 3 candidates talk affordability and growth,” when the three candidates were asked to respond to two questions.

Their comments I found were very interesting. Two candidates responded in the first person (Barksdale/Aatai) while Walter seemed to have had someone else respond for her.

Is that what we would expect going forward on any and various issues in the Bellevue City Council? Why did the reporter and Bellevue Reporter allow this? This is not my affirmative or a negative take on the substance, just on the way the candidates decided to respond.
