No response from county officials about mega-homes

Perhaps King County councilmembers Reagan Dunn and Dow Constantine can explain to myself and other concerned voters why they deserve our vote. Last year I wrote them and other King County Council members regarding the building of mega mansions in neighborhoods where they stood out like eyesores – and the fact that they were also sub-dividing lots in these smaller neighborhoods where if you chose to appeal the person appealing had to pay.

I asked that they take a look at the building codes and hopefully in the future take all this excessive building under consideration when making land use decisions.

To this day (almost one year later) I still have not been afforded the courtesy of a response either by phone, e-mail or by regular mail. What does this say about our elected officials when a voter takes the time to write a handwritten note about their dissatisfaction with public policy and they can’t even take the time to send any kind of response?
