Edward Snowden and Bradley Manning have shown more guts and concern for the welfare of Americans as well as for the people of the world than most members of Congress.
I have just watched the interview with Snowden recorded in Hong Kong on June 6 and was very impressed with his answers and concern for the rights of people. This world is very much in trouble and is at a crossroads.
I can’t help but think many of the past tragedies in my life time such as the wars in Vietnam and Iraq and the slaughter of millions in Cambodia parts of Africa as well as other places could have been avoided had we heard from those with knowledge of such plan events had the guts to speak up.
I also very much fault the media for its failure to report news and events that are harmful to society such as on going poverty, economic and social injustices, growing concentration of wealth at the top, etc. Congress and the media have obligations neither have met in regards to the welfare of our society.
