Upon reading the letter from Jutta Kurtak it brings up the point the basic misconception the statist, liberals have of the U.S. Constitution that set up our Republic. Kurtuk infers that the president “runs” the country. No, the president does not run the country according to the Constitution. The people through their elected representatives sent to Congress run the country.
Congress is authorized 21 things to do. Only now Congress has usurped the freedoms and liberties of the people to do such things as farm subsidizes, bail out of banks and manage car companies.
We, the people, have allowed the government to depart from the Constitution and consequently we the people are loosing our freedoms and liberties.
Everyone, get a copy of the Constitution, read it, understand it. Next read the letters of our Founding Fathers for better understanding of what freedoms and liberties they wanted protected.
