As a small business owner in Bellevue, I think it is important to speak up when we recognize a lawmaker who supports our local businesses.
Rep. Senn stands up for small business. She introduced a bill in the Legislature to help small businesses by reducing the B&O filing tax threshold, she promotes “shop local” programs, and her family has started several small businesses of their own.
I also appreciate Tana’s community-mindedness. She is everywhere. Personally, I have seen her at the Bellevue Police Foundation breakfast, at the Bellevue Rotary lunch (and as the prime sponsor of state funding) for Inspiration Playground, and at numerous Jewish organizations with which I am also involved.
Education is one of the state’s biggest issues. She has two kids in public school, and so is actively aware of the importance and challenges involved in public education. In the short time she has served, Rep. Senn has already passed bi-partisan legislation to increase access to quality early learning services.
I am voting for Tana Senn and I encourage other voters to join me. She is the kind of person we need in Olympia.
