In the Reporter’s article about a web-based international prostitution ring operating in Bellevue, the clients refer to themselves as a “league of hobbyists” and believe they are “gentlemen.” Please, let’s call them what they are: criminals.

If we sanitize the solicitation of sex from human trafficking victims, we minimize the crime against the women and let the perpetrators off the hook.

The men will just move on to the next scheme and nothing will change. If the name and face of every so-called “gentleman” were posted in the paper, you can bet the demand for prostitution would drop and so would the supply. Or better yet, arrest the Johns. That would make a dent in sexual slavery worldwide.
