I read with interest your story about Sam Stone, the 3rd grader at Enatai Elementary who wanted to protect a killdeer that had nested in the middle of a local park.

On behalf of our school and the Enatai community, we just wanted to thank you. Sam and his family deserve the great recognition you gave them. It’s so nice to see our students caring about and contributing to our community.
