Most people probably haven’t given much thought to the fact that there are really three major candidates running for president this year. That’s probably because two of them are running under the same name.
There is the Barack Obama who had to solidify his extreme leftist base in the Democratic primary and the other Barack Obama who now is appealing to those occasional voters who have no political philosophy, so vote based on political correctness, rhetoric, money raised, TV ads and other meaningless criteria.
It would be interesting to hear a debate between these two candidates. It’s likely the only issue they would agree on would be that George Bush is responsible for everything that’s wrong with the world today.
It’s also interesting (but gut-wrenching) to note that the better the Obamas do in the polls, the further the stock market falls. What a vote of confidence!
