I am perplexed by two recent letters claiming Greg Bennett would be better than Sen. Rodney Tom on the issue of education.

Senator Tom has led a bipartisan coalition of Eastside legislators for the past few years and their work culminated in landmark legislation to reform an outmoded system. By doing so, he has placed the interests of children above that of an entrenched union interested only in compensation.

Rodney Tom is endorsed by the two key education advocacy groups in Washington: Stand for Children and The League of Education Voters.

Bennett was interviewed, but did not make the grade. Re-elect Rodney Tom in the 48th district senate position.
