Teen docents complete training at BAM Twenty area high school students are now docents at Bellevue Arts Museum for the 2011-12 school year. Training includes learning about BAM's focus on art, craft and design, in addition to the specific exhibits, "What are the themes? Who are the artists? Free day at 5th Avenue Theatre

In celebration of its new production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!,” 5th Avenue Theatre is opening its doors with a free community day from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Feb. 4 at 1308 5th Ave., Seattle. The day will include sing-alongs, crafts a Chinese New Year lions Dance, show previews and more. Bellevue native stars in NBC’s ‘Smash’

Megan Hilty, a former Sammamish High School student and Bellevue Youth Theatre participant, is starring on the new TV show about Broadway, “Smash.” The show premiers at 10 p.m. on NBC. Hilty has also starred on Broadway in “Wicked” and “9 to 5” the musical.

Classical concert in Sammamish

The Sammamish Art Commission presents a concert by the clarinet and string group, Simple Measures. From Brahms to The Beatles, the “UnstrungHero” concert will offer a variety at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 14 at Sammamish Presbyterian Church, 22522 NE Inglewood Hill Rd., Sammamish. Orchestra Seattle/Seattle Chamber Singers presents Russian Masters

The show will feature guest conductor Eric Garcia, now in his second season as assistant conductor of the Seattle Symphony. ‘Orphée et Eurydice’ returns to Seattle Opera

Annual Scottish Arts Concert

The Celtic Arts Foundation Annual Masters of Scottish Arts Concert will be at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 10 at Benaroya Hall, 200 University St., Seattle. The Mount Vernon-based foundation works all year to gather the best of the best from around the world.
