Pacific Northwest Ballet (www.pnb.org) received a a $25,000 grant awarded by the Joyce Theater Foundation. It will use the award to create a new work by Alejandro Cerrudo, resident choreographer for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, which will make its New York premiere at The Joyce during its 2013-2014 season.
Casting has been announced for “Damn Yankees,” which plays at 5th Avenue Theatre April 21-May 20. The creative team includes Mark S. Hoebee (Paper Mill’s producing artistic director), music direction by Ben Whiteley, and choreography by Denis Michael Jones. www.5thavenue.org
