Bellevue’s favorite bachelor is Lakewood firefighter

Bellevue's favorite bachelor is Lakewood firefighter. The event took place at Vertigo in Bellevue.

Vertigo Lounge played host Wednesday night to a singles party marking the end of the Bellevue Bachelor contest. A marketing company called 5 Mile Buzz organized the event through a Ning-based social-networking site.

Nadrece Robinson, a firefighter with the Lakewood Fire Department, was voted Favorite Bachelor from a field of 45 men. Robinson is also featured in the 2008 and 2009 Burn Foundation calendars for the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters.

Around 250 guests showed up for the singles party Wednesday, starting the night with an icebreaker activity and then moving to the dance floor and the bar.

The top five finishers in the bachelor competition won prizes from sponsors.

Kathy Aloia, who calls herself Robinson’s “BFF,” commented sarcastically that she should get half of her friend’s proceeds.

“I’m the one who signed him up,” she said.
