The Eastside Association of Fine Arts (EAFA) will celebrate its 35th year with its Annual Open Art Exhibition, held this year at the Meydenbauer Center in downtown Bellevue.

Sponsored by the Bellevue Arts Commission and the Meydenbauer Center, the exhibition will showcase over 100 works of fine art by artists from across the Pacific Northwest.

The public is invited to join EAFA and its members as they honor founders and past presidents as well as this year’s award winning artists with a reception and awards ceremony from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 27. There will be music, refreshments and a cash bar.

EAFA was conceived 35 years ago by 6 young art students who saw the need for an organization that would encourage and support local artists while providing the opportunity to educate the public in the appreciation of fine art. EAFA now boasts over 400 member artists and operates as a nonprofit organization that provides not only educational and public art opportunities to its membership, but offers non-member student grants and educational opportunities outside the organization.

The exhibition, which is free, will be open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Meydenbauer Center is located at 11100 N.E. Sixth St.
