Newport High School’s drama program is bringing “Guys and Dolls” to the Newport stage for the first time ever on Friday.
“Guys and Dolls” features lovable gamblers Sky Masterson and Nathan Detroit, the beautiful Salvation Army activist Miss Sarah Brown, who is trying to clean up Broadway, and Miss Adelaide, Nathan’s gold-hearted show girl and perennial fiancée. The show features popular musical theater standards like “A Bushel and a Peck,” “Luck Be a Lady” and “I’ve Never Been In Love Before”.
Their production opens at 7 p.m. on Jan. 13, with shows on Jan. 14, 20 and 21. Tickets can be purchased at the door, and are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors, children and Newport students.
