Salvation Army Announces New Leadership in Bellevue

Lieutenants Eunha and Christopher Kim to lead social services, church and more

The Salvation Army Northwest Division announces the appointment of Lieutenants Eunha and Christopher Kim to its location in Bellevue. They replace Lieutenants David and Joleen Aycock, who have moved to The Salvation Army in Lewiston, Idaho.

For the past four years, Lieutenants Kim have served at The Salvation Army in Tucson, Arizona. In June 2014, they graduated from The Salvation Army Officer Training College in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.

As Salvation Army officers, the Lieutenants expect to be reassigned throughout their careers. The commitment of being an officer includes moving your family frequently, and accepting reassignments based on career development and filling the needs of The Salvation Army locations. The assignment in Bellevue is an acknowledgement of their ability to manage a large social services program and growing congregation.

They began work in Bellevue on June 28, “We’ve heard so many good things about the city of Bellevue and the community on the Eastside. We are looking forward to getting to know everyone and sharing the programs of The Salvation Army,” Lieutenant Christopher said in a press release.

Established in 1993, The Salvation Army Eastside provides social services to families in need. Among the programs offered are emergency utility assistance, eviction prevention, food and nutrition programs, veterans services and emergency disaster services. Last year, The Salvation Army Eastside served more than 1,250 individuals in the community.
