Interlake High School Music Parents will host a night of music and dessert t 7 p.m. June 18 at Interlake High School.
The award winning jazz bands will perform with special performances by David Kim, Director of Bands at Interlake and Paul Gillespie, Director of Interlake Jazz Band II.
The event aims to raise community awareness of and support for the role of music and arts learning in the complete education provided at Interlake High School, while providing a relaxing and enjoyable community building event.

It has been a strong year for the Interlake Jazz Bands whose winning performances have included:
Newport Jazz Festival 1st place for Jazz I and Jazz II, Sweepstakes Winner Jazz II, Outstanding Soloist Award John Northey
Auburn Jazz Festival 1st place for Jazz I, Outstanding Soloist Awards for John Northey and Nicholas Brockmeyer
Bellevue Jazz Festival 1st place for Jazz II, Outstanding Soloist Awards Ben Dysart and Kayla Smith
At the event, several graduating seniors will be on hand to play their final high school performances before heading off to college next year to major in music performance and music education: John Northey, trumpet – attending the University of North Texas to major in Jazz Studies; Erika Davis, piano and clarinet – attending Central Washington University to major in Music; Kayla Smith, saxophone – attending Central Washington University to major in Music; Peter Cole, trumpet and tuba – attending Western Washington University to major in Music Education.
