The Nutcracker comes to Bellevue Dec. 19-20

Christina Stockdale as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Scott Bartell as her Cavalier will perform in Ballet Bellevue’s Nutcracker Dec. 19-20 at Sammamish High School’s Performing Arts Center.

The performance, with a live orchestra, will be at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Ballet Music Director and Conductor Barney Blough directs the Ballet Bellevue orchestra, as the company’s professional dancers and guest artists in lead roles share the stage with over 40 students from regional dance schools performing children’s parts.

Dancers from the spectacular Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier to the tiniest bonbon are coached by Ballet Master Oleg Gorboulev and company and children’s Ballet Mistress, Christina Stockdale. Stage Director is Katerina Fedor-White. Lighting is by Kevin Harkins and costumes by Tina Evans.
