Ebenezer Scrooge will sue Jacob Marley and the Ghosts when the Bellevue Civic Theatre presents The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge beginning Jan. 29 and running through Feb. 6.
Just one year after his miraculous transformation, Scrooge is back to his old ways and is suing Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future for breaking and entering, kidnapping, slander, pain and suffering, attempted murder and the intentional infliction of emotional distress.
One by one, Bob Cratchit, Scrooge’s nephew Fred, solicitor and philanthropist Sara Anne Wainwright, and the ghosts themselves take the witness stand to give their account of that famous night. Can the spirit of Christmas survive?
The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge is directed by Bill Huls and stars Robert Alan Barnett with Keith Remon, Doug Knoop, Nathaniel Jones, Jason Pead, Ellen Zambrowsky-Huls, Sean Maurer, Heather McRobbie and Elizabeth Adkisson.
