The Washington State Fair begins its 17-day run today in Puyallup. The traditional cattle drive begins at 10 a.m. on Meridian Street followed by draft horse hitches, marching bands, equestrian drill teams, and costume characters.

Gate admission is free from 9 a.m.  to noon today with a recommended non-perishable food donation for Puyallup Food Bank.
