Celebrate the fun of pet ownership

Now in the second year of operation of his Bellevue Pet Supplies Pet store in the MarketPlace at Factoria, Bob Fischer, owner of Fischer Pet Stores, reiterated his commitment to be a good community partner, a statement he first voiced in 2022 when opening the Pet Supplies Plus store in West Seattle, also the first PSP location in Washington.

“When we set out to open our locally owned and operated stores, I recognized it as an opportunity to not only serve pet owners in the area, but also to create a space where we can advocate for homeless pets and the well-being of all animals,” Fischer said.

In committing to those objectives, Fischer has hosted a number of pet rescue agencies at his stores, including Saving Great Animals, Motley Zoo Animal Rescue, Multi-Service Center of Federal Way, the Fusion Food Bank and Shelter and Guide Dogs for the Blind, to name just a few.

“As soon as we started we began to build a hub for pet parents and to help them learn how to take care of their animals. We have a very knowledgeable team in each of our stores and our teammates love helping our neighbors.”

Each team member is trained in the areas of natural and holistic foods and is able to answer a broad range of questions about dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and fish.

Fischer’s son, Brandon, joined his father as company COO after Bob Fischer sold his software company and moved back to his home state to start a new business. They now own and operate the Bellevue and West Seattle stores, and at a third location in Federal Way.

Pet Supplies Plus has been active in the community, participating in and around its locations: pet rescue days, farmers markets, holiday events and more.

“We love working with other businesses to help each other and invite owners and operators to drop by to say hello,” Fischer remarked. “We have a lot of ideas on how to help increase business in our community.”

PSP stores have proven popular all over the country, growing at a rapid pace to now include 700 stores. Fischer’s three stores in Washington offer a ‘hassle free’ way to find better products while saving pet owners money and celebrating the fun of pet ownership. Each store offers a wide selection of natural pet foods and made in USA products.

All three stores include full pet grooming services, along with a popular Self-Serve Pet Wash. Online orders, free delivery and curbside pick-up services are also offered. All PSP stores have a free rewards program, which offers members regular discount coupons on products they purchase frequently, along with monthly specials.

PSP Bellevue is open daily.
