Jubilee REACH Center (JRC) has added three members to its board of directors.
Judy Buckmaster, who is principal of Tyee Middle School, has been an educator in the Bellevue School District since 1981 and has served on the board at the Bel-Red YMCA. She previously worked with JRC when it opened, as she was then principal of nearby Lake Hills Elementary.
David Cole is the former Chief Executive Officer of Coinstar. He brings extensive knowledge to help JRC manage the business functions of the organization as it grows.
Bob Gerth is a retired partner from Deloitte who remains active in the business community and supporting civic activities, including Habitat for Humanity, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and the Norman Archibald Foundation.
The new members join an existing seven-member board includes board president Ward Bushnell, JRC Executive Director Brent Christie, Westminster Chapel Senior Pastor Gary Gulbranson, Helena Stephens from the city of Bellevue, Bob Crist who is former administrator of First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, First Presbyterian Senior Pastor Scott Dudley and Rich Leatherberry, missions pastor of First Presbyterian.
JRC opened in September 2006 to provide before- and after-school programs to families in the Lake Hills area of Bellevue. It has since grown into a comprehensive community center offering programs to area children, as well as ESL, computer training and community-building activities for the whole family.
