Allstate Insurance will host a Reality Check collision avoidance course at Bellevue College from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, May 31, for teen and adult drivers.
The Reality Check course is four hours of behind the wheel training in collision avoidance. Students practice emergency driving skills such as sudden breaking and quick maneuvering while negotiating obstacles and distractions put in their path.
Car crashes are the number one killer of Washington residents under the age of 45 and rank third – trailing only cancer and heart disease — in shortening life spans before the age of 65. An average 16 American teens die in motor vehicle crashes every day.
