Bellevue High School senior Addison Woolsey will receive a $500 college scholarship Thursday evening from Eastside Audubon.

The presentation will be at 7 p.m. at Eastside Audubon’s monthly meeting at Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church, 308 Fourth Ave. S., Kirkland.

Addison is an active birder and enjoys working on habitat restoration projects. Last summer he worked as an intern for eight weeks at the Seattle Audubon Nature Camp, assisting in teaching 10 to 12 kids a week. An editor of the school newspaper, Addison has also been captain of the cross country team and a member of Earthbound Club. He hopes to pursue a degree in environmental studies or in education.n our birding walks and field trips and in our birding classes.
