The Seattle Humane Society is bringing its MaxMobile full of adoptable dogs and cats to the Medina Dog Park on Saturday, July 18, for “Pick-A-Pooch.” The event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will allow families to meet puppies, dogs and cats in need of homes. The Medina Dog Park is located at NE 12th St & 82nd Ave NE, Medina.
The MaxMobile is a bright yellow, 33-foot, custom-built mobile adoption and education center. The Seattle Humane Society will also have knowledgeable volunteers on hand to help visitors select a pet that’s a good match for their family.
Bev Harris, an agent with Windermere’s Kirkland-Yarrow Bay office, invited the Seattle Humane Society to Medina to try and find homes for animals in need due to the downturn in the economy. Due to foreclosures and job losses, more pets have been brought to the Seattle Humane Society shelter in Bellevue by owners who say they can no longer care of them.
At Seattle Humane, all healthy and adoptable companion animals who come through our doors are given as long as it takes for us to find them a home of their own, regardless of age, beauty or infirmity. In addition, the society provides medical care and treatment for animals who need a little something extra to make them adoptable.
