The 2014 Aki Matsuri Japanese fall festival is underway at Bellevue College today and Sunday. Presented by the Eastside Nihon Matsuri Association, the festival includes martial arts exhibitions, dancing, drums, manga exchanges and bonsai tree workshops, all in an effort to build community relationships on the Eastside by bettering people’s understanding of Japanese culture.
The event and campus parking lots are be free during the event, which runs until 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
The festival is being held in the Bellevue College Gym, N Building, R Building, Cafeteria, Carlson Theatre and Music room, on the main Bellevue College campus, 3000 Landerholm Circle S.E., Bellevue, WA. 98007. For more information, click here.
