The FBI reports a 29-year-old man nicknamed the “Baseball Cap Crook” and believed responsible for at least five bank robberies in King County over the past two weeks was arrested in Renton by the Safe Streets Task Force Tuesday morning.
Enrique Santos is alleged to have robbed banks in Kent, Bellevue, Renton, Federal Way and Edmonds from Nov. 9-18, and was nicknamed the “Baseball Cap Crook” because he wore different baseball caps, hooded
sweatshirt and jeans during the alleged robberies.
He is suspected of robbing the Alaska USA Federal Credit Union on the 2000 block of 148th Avenue Northeast in Bellevue on Nov. 11, and an Alaska branch in Federal Way on Nov. 18, which is allegedly the last robbery he committed.
The Seattle Safe Streets Task Force includes members from the FBI, Bellevue Police Department, Auburn Police Department, King County Sheriff’s Office, and Seattle Police Department.
