Eastside Heritage Center is gearing up for its annual Bellevue Strawberry Festival from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday at Crossroads International Park.
Festival organizers seek volunteers to help with serving up scrumptious strawberry shortcake, event set-up, selling tickets for the games, answering questions at the information booth and many other fun festival activities. Contact volunteer@bellevuestrawberryfestival.org to sign-up.
Do you have a classic car? Consider entering yours into the Annual Strawberry Festival Classic Auto Show, supported by Visit Bellevue. Participants can show off their classic rides and be judged by public ballot for a variety of categories, including Best Pre-WWII, Best Post-WWII, Oldest at Show, Owner’s Choice, Youth’s Choice and Best Un-restored Original. All participants will receive a dash plaque. Trophies are given to those that win in each of the above categories. Entry forms and details are available on the Strawberry Festival website.
The 2017 Bellevue Strawberry Festival presented by BECU will feature non-stop entertainment on the BECU Main Stage that will be rockin’ with a variety of performances, ranging from big band music, to Bollywood dance, children’s entertainment, classic rock and more.
Attendees will also enjoy delicious strawberry shortcake, hands-on history activities and exhibits presented by Eastside Heritage Center and fresh produce from local farmers. There will be food for all tastes and over 100 vendor booths, from hand crafts to home improvement.
The Republic Services Family Fun Area will be abuzz all weekend long, with pony rides, inflatable bouncers, zorb ball races, face painting, balloons, the Mini-Mountain rock-climbing wall, a big purple slide and more. In addition. there will be a Touch-a-Truck event from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday. Visitors will have the chance to see up close and touch equipment that is used for construction projects on the Eastside, with special thanks to GLY Construction and Northwest Construction, Inc.
Free parking and shuttle bus every 15 minutes from Highland Middle School and Sherwood Forest Elementary.
