Patrick Arpin has been named the new deputy chief of the Bellevue Police Department.
Arpin was sworn in as deputy chief earlier this month. He joined the department in 1988 and has worked as a bicycle officer, a member of the Special Details Unit and the Special Enforcement Team. Throughout the years, his ancillary assignments have included being a field training officer, evidence technician and 19 years on the hostage negotiation team.
He was promoted to captain in 2010 and major in 2013. He is also a recent graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session 264.
Arpin’s promotion is one of several recent promotions in the department.
