Award-winning architect Thom Faulders to lecture at BCC on Nov. 12

Award-winning architect Thom Faulders, internationally known for his ability to create dynamic, shifting relationships between a building’s functionality and one’s personal experience of its space, will present a free public lecture on his concepts at Bellevue Community College Nov. 12.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. in room 201 of the college’s N Building, at the south end of BCC’s main campus (3000 Landerholm Circle S.E., Bellevue, at the intersection of S.E. 28th St. and 148th Ave. S.E.).

Faulders’ numerous honors include awards from the Bienal Miami + Beach, the Architectural League of New York and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

His work is included in the Permanent Architecture and Design Collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and has been shown in numerous international exhibitions.

In combination with professional practice through his San Francisco-based firm, Beige Design, Faulders is an Associate Professor in Architecture at California College of the Arts, in San Francisco.

His appearance at Bellevue Community College is sponsored by the BCC Interior Design Student Association, the Northern Pacific Chapter of the International Interior Design Association, the Seattle Design Center and W Hotel.
