A charity event involving basketball free throws will benefit the Bellevue-based Seattle Humane Society.

The Seattle Community College Men’s Basketball team has collected pledges and will shoot 100 free throws each with the money going to the society. Each team member has set an earning goal of $2,200 for the fundraiser.

The event will take place at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 at the North Seattle campus gymnasium.
