Dr. Ata Karim has been named Director of Multi-Cultural Services at Bellevue Community College.
Karim has worked previously as senior associate director and assistant professor for Kansas State University’s Leadership Studies and Programs department, and as staff psychologist and multi-cultural outreach and
training coordinator for the university’s counseling services.
Karim holds a Ph. D. in counseling psychology from Southern Illinois University, and master of science degree in industrial organizational psychology from California State University-Long Beach. He received his undergraduate education at University of Karachi, Pakistan.
BCC’s Multi-Cultural Services program promotes academic success, social development and civic involvement among a widely diverse group of students. Its academic support, counseling and advocacy services are open to all at BCC.
