Bellevue Arts Week kicks off

The annual arts festival - which includes BAM ARTSfair, the Bellevue Festival of the Arts and the 6th Street Fair - opened Friday.

Artist Cyndy Salisbury has shown her Papier-mâché masks at the Bellevue Festival of the Arts for four out of the last five years.

Salisbury, who came to the festival from Bainbridge Island, said all of her masks are made to wear.

 

Artist Gabrielle Abbott works on a chalk painting of Frida Kahlo in front of the Bellevue Arts Museum as part of BAM ARTSfair, taking place July 26-28.

 

A portion of artist Mandy Greer’s Fiber River connects lamp posts and buildings in downtown Bellevue. The installation will span two city blocks this weekend as part of BAM ARTSfair.
