Bellevue attorney Randy Gordon has been appointed to the state Senate for the 41st Legislative District, taking over the post from Fred Jarrett who resigned to become deputy county executive.
Gordon was appointed Monday by the King County Council.
The 41st District includes the southern part of Bellevue.
Gordon was the choice of local Democratic officials. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and teaches at Seattle University’s law school. He is expected to run for office in his own right this fall.
The 2010 legislative session began Monday.
