The Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club (BBRC) will host the 6th Annual Bellevue Run/Walk on April 29 to benefit a number of local charities.
Up to 3,000 people are expected to participate in the event that starts and ends at Bellevue’s Downtown Park.
The event will offer a challenging new 10K (6.2 miles) route sponsored by Overlake Hospital, as well as the Y Family 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) route for the whole family. There is also a non-competitive half-mile Seattle Children’s Kids’ Dash open to all kids 10 and under.
Strollers and dogs are welcome and will start just after the main group for each race.
On race day, participants are invited to visit the Starbucks Race Village to visit event sponsor booths and vendor exhibits after the event for the post-race party. There also will be a bib raffle drawing after the race.
The proceeds from this event will benefit local charitable programs including Seattle Children’s Autism Center, Kindering, and other local community needs.
BBRC’s sixth annual Bellevue Run/Walk is designed to promote healthy children and families. The goal is to combat child obesity and raise awareness of healthy lifestyle choices for children.
