The husband and wife team of Brad Smith and Kathy Surace-Smith will be the featured speakers at a luncheon in Bellevue sponsored by Leadership Eastside.
Brad is general counsel and senior vice president for Microsoft. Surace-Smith is a corporate attorney and community volunteer. This year they are the co-chairs of United Way of King County’s annual campaign.
Having presided over United Way’s recent Day of Caring with 10,500 volunteers donating more than $1.3 million in labor to more than 425 projects, the couple will share insights on community needs, volunteerism and corporate citizenship.
In addition, LE’s new president, James Whitfield, will deliver a State of the Eastside report which will not only reflect how the Eastside is faring through one of our nation’s worst economic downturns, but also will work to dispel many of the misperceptions of what it means to live on the Eastside.
The luncheon will be from 11:30 to 1:30 Feb. 10 at the Puget Sound Energy Auditorium, East Campus Building, 10885 N.E. Fourth St., Bellevue.
Seating is limited and tickets are $40 for general admission and $35 for LE members.
