A children's music performer has been arrested for child molestation

An earlier story named the wrong farmers market. The corrected version is below.

A popular Bellevue children’s musician, Darby Gerking, 57, has been arrested for suspected child molestation.

The local man is accused of molesting two girls between 2008 and 2010 who were around the ages 9 and 12 years old at the time, believing that the two were asleep. In court documents he admits to the crime. The suspect was booked Tuesday in King County Jail and held on $150,000 bail. Last night, he posted bail but was ordered not to come in contact with any children. A second appearance is scheduled for this afternoon.

Pictures on Gerking’s website show him performing at Crossroad’s mall, the Crossroads Farmers Market and at other sites around Bellevue and Seattle.
