The Bellevue Police Department is now accepting non-emergency crime reports online.
People wanting to report crimes, including vandalism, littering, lost property, vehicle prowls and thefts under $1,500 can now make and print copies of their reports at www.bellevuewa.gov/crime-reporting.htm.
Drug and crime tips can also be made there. Burglaries and car thefts require an officer response, but updated information can also be provided online.
Emergencies and crimes in progress should still be reported by calling 9-1-1. Those who still want to leave a report by phone can call 425-577-5656.
To leave a report, the incident must be within Bellevue city limits but not on a state freeway, and not include known suspects. If evidence of a crime is present, people should not use the online reporting option.
