Bellevue Police volunteers Dean and Marlene Snyder were among this year’s recipients of the Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Service Award, held April 23 at the Governor’s Mansion in Olympia.

The award recognizes outstanding volunteers who effect real change in their communities through volunteer service.

The husband and wife team both volunteer at the Bellevue Community Police Station in Factoria. Together they have served more than 6,800 hours.

They each work their own shift at the front desk, answering phone calls and assisting citizens who come into the station seeking help with police related issues.
