Newspapers report on change every day. Today, we’re the story.
Beginning March 5, the Bellevue Reporter will publish once a week – every Friday – instead of twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday) as it does now.
The weekly edition will offer readers a number of additional things.
The newspaper is expected to have more pages per edition in which to present community news. That includes Business, Sports, Arts, Lifestyles, Dining, Nightlife and, of course, local news.
The paper also is adding some columnists and features to round out its offerings to readers.
Pat Cashman, long a favorite of readers, will return with his humorous and off-beat look at Eastside life.
Bill Morton, known by many for his travel articles, will be back with something new – a column that will look at what people can expect as they move into the second half of their life.
Rose Dennis will add a new touch to our Lifestyle pages with a Q&A column on etiquette.
The Bellevue Reporter also will have an expanded Calendar to give readers a more comprehensive look at upcoming events.
The switch in the Reporter’s publishing cycle happens at the same time it is adding a special monthly magazine – The Scene – which will include stories on Arts, Entertainment and Lifestyles. The first issue of The Scene is in today’s Bellevue Reporter. It will publish on the last Friday of the month and be available in the Bellevue Reporter and throughout the community.
One thing that isn’t changing is the newspaper’s focus on local news. And the Bellevue Reporter will continue to publish information as it happens – 24/7 – on its web page: www.bellevuereporter.com.
