Porto is a marketing, communications and operations professional and has been associated with a number of Northwest companies including Eddie Bauer, Infowave Software, and Microsoft where she is the Director of Programs, Planning and Business Partnership with the Global Procurement Group.

In 2010 Porto organized a United Way Day of Caring project for a Friends of Youth foster home in Kirkland.   Her team of Microsoft employees transformed the family room, creating a warm and welcoming environment for foster children.

Friends of Youth is a non-profit agency that is celebrating its 60th year. It provides shelter, housing, counseling and prevention services for young people and their families in King and Snohomish counties.
