The Bellevue School District’s central office building is closed due to intermittent power surges.
According to Elizabeth Sytman, the district’s director of communication, the building’s main power switch has been malfunctioning since Monday, and since then staff has been working from remote locations until the problem is fixed.
“Everyone has a place to work and Internet access so we’re trying to keep it business as usual,” Sytman said. “We’re managing.”
Sytman said it make take until Friday for a new power switch and the necessary parts to arrive.
She didn’t expect the power outage to be fixed until this weekend, but that the building’s facilities should be up and running Monday morning.
To contact the district during the outage, people are encouraged to call 425-456-4000.
