Soroptimist International of Bellevue Metropolitan have presented two awards to women for their achievement.
The Women’s Opportunity Award was given to Jessica G. Helferich. The award is given annually to a woman who is the primary financial support for her family, by giving her the resources needed to improve her education, skills, and employment prospects.
The Violet Richardson Award was given to Sophia Wrench, a student at Bellevue High School. The award is given annually to honor a young woman who donates her time and energy to causes that make the community and world a better place. Sophia is active in her school Key Club and the Kirkland Arts Center.
Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.
